Ricevo e pubblico la graditissima risposta di Joelle Kanaan, co-fondatrice di BETA (Beirut for the Ethical Treatment of Animals), a un mio messaggio di incoraggiamento del 2 agosto scorso. Joelle è animatrice dell’organizzazione e una dei due eroici volontari coraggiosamente mobilitatisi in aiuto degli amici animali rimasti intrappolati nello zoo della capitale libanese di cui ho scritto qui. E’ incredibile e indicativo che qualcuno si preoccupi di rispondere a un’e-mail sotto i missili.
Comunque queste sono le sue parole:

Thanks a million for your support for the animals in Lebanon.
Spreading the word about BETA will surely help the animals in here in a
way or another. I went to your site but it is in Italian and I am sorry but I
don’t understand Italian.On befalf of all our animals and the BETA team, I thank you for your help
from so far away.
The situation is very bad in here, getting worse everyday and the animals
are clearly suffering the consequences of this cruel war that is not theirs.
